The sporty side continues

In addition to pub quizzes, tastings and the like, the cultural area of the Studierendenwerk also offers entertaining sporting activities. In May, it's off to the water and off with bow and arrow.

On 7 May 2025, a steady hand and a good eye are required when we try out archery together. The meeting point is at TuS Barop - Stockumer Str. 290, 44225 Dortmund at 14:45 and from 15:00 to approx. 18:00 we will let the arrows fly. If you've always wanted to be able to handle a bow and arrow like Robin Hood, it's best to register now. The TuS Barop trainers will be on hand at all times to give you help and advice and teach you the basics. The participation fee is €15 for students / €20 for guests. On 14 May 2025, we will continue with a paddle and pedal tour at the meeting point: Rohrmeisterei Schwerte (Kanucamp Schwerte - Lenne Ruhr Kanu Tour). The perfect tour to start the evening after a long day. Whether you already have canoeing experience or are a beginner - this tour is suitable for everyone to get some physical exercise while marvelling at the idyllic Ruhr meadows and the local water birds. After the approx. 1.5-hour canoe tour across the Ruhr, the pedal tour begins and the return journey is made by bike. You don't need to bring anything with you! The canoes and bikes are provided by the organiser. The tour starts at 15:00 (please be there by 14:45 at the latest) and is expected to finish at around 17:00.
